Quint Adkins
Background
Quint Adkins was raised in New Orleans, Louisiana in a musical household. With a classically trained pianist for a mother, a jazz and rudimental drummer for a father and trumpet playing younger brother, his formative years were saturated with all types of music. Classical, Jazz, Big Band, Classic Rock, Bluegrass, Gospel, etc. He began his musical career behind the drum set to be like his dad, but as he grew he felt the desire to expand his skill by taking up other instruments. He would move from drums to mandolin to guitar to piano to banjo and ultimately added the vocal part. In addition to attending an advanced magnet public high-school, Quint also attended the prestigious New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts and went on to graduate from the Loyola University of New Orleans with a Music Performance Major in Jazz Studies. He is currently pursuing two Master’s Degree concurrently. One in Philosophy and one in Music.
Growing up honing his leadership skills playing music in church while also gigging around New Orleans has produced a wonderfully robust understanding of music both intellectually and as an emotional outlet for creative expression.
Passion
Quint presently serves as the assistant worship leader at his home church, FirstWeGo, in the New Orleans metro area, where he helps direct and arrange the music for congregational singing. Outside of his involvement in the local church, Quint travels the nation to lead worship for conferences, retreats, DNow's, camps and other similar events. During the summer he is a worship Leader with LifeWay’s FUGE Camps.
Quint Adkins deeply loves the local church and seeks to point others to the Glory of God through congregational singing and musical worship. He is an accomplished musical theorist who has a passion for hymn writing, composing and music production for the edification of the church. His focus in leading worship for the local church is to be Theologically Thoughtful, Passionately Prayerful and Conventionally Congregational.

Quint has taken inspiration from artists such as the Gettys, Matt Boswell, Matt Papa, Sovereign Grace Music, Shane & Shane, CityAlight, as well as a plethora of numerous modern worship bands.
